CricketTicketing and fan data: another way into African sport
South Africa's SA20 cricket league has named Fever its official ticketing partner for Season 5.
On 26 October 2026, SA20, South Africa's professional T20 cricket league, named Fever its official ticketing partner. Fever will run online and on-site ticket sales and customer support across the league's six stadiums. Online sales open on 5 November and stadium box offices on 15 November, ahead of a Season 5 that starts on 17 January.
Who is Fever
Fever is a live-entertainment and ticketing platform active in more than 500 cities in 55 countries. Its sports clients include Formula 1, SailGP, Atlético de Madrid and FC Barcelona. The value and length of the SA20 deal were not disclosed.
More than tickets
Fever says it will combine its ticketing technology with data and insights to help the league better understand fan demand. Knowing who buys tickets, where they come from and how often they return is exactly the kind of information sponsors ask for.
What it means
For international companies, becoming a supplier or technology partner can be an easier entry into African sport than a large cash sponsorship. For African clubs and leagues, a professional ticketing system is also a source of fan data, which makes them easier to sell to brands.
